Scary aye? Did you know that it is super cheap and simple to make your own at home? Here's how:
Our main "hero" ingredient in this solution is the washing soda and Dr Bronner's Sal Suds. These two ingredients work together to get rid of grease and oil. Believe it or not, the table salt solution is our thickener, and it works a treat! Essential oils top it all off with added antibacterial and cleaning properties, and they make this smell great.
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp table salt
3 tbsp of boiled water
1 cup water
1 tbsp washing soda
1/4 cup Dr Bronner's Sal Suds
30-40 drops essentials oils of your choice (e.g. lemongrass, lemon, sweet orange oil)
METHOD
1. Mix salt and boiled water in a glass jug, and stir until dissolved.
2. Combine water and washing soda in a small saucepan over the stove top, gently heating and storing until washing soda is dissolved.
3. Remove from stove top and mix in the Sal Suds and essential oils.
4. Optional: add in 1 tbsp of salt solution at a time until desired thickness is achieved. NOTE: Mixture will thicken over time and can be thinned out with hot water if necessary.
5. Pour into a suitable container for storage. Shake to mix before each use.
